Psychological Support

Online & in-person psychotherapy.

Compassionate psychological support for those wishing to feel heard, acknowledged, valued and respected.

Weekly 50-minute sessions offered online or in person, from clinics in Marlow and Reading. The price per session is £110.

An initial 50-minute assessment session will be conducted for all new clients.

The therapy process

  • 15-20 minutes introductory call to share what's brought you to therapy, explore your expectations, hopes and any previous therapy experiences. It’s your opportunity to ask questions and for us both to check whether it’s the right fit.

  • In advance of your scheduled assessment session, you’ll receive a copy of the therapy agreement, a therapy preferences form and a health questionnaire.

These allow you to review our working agreement, specify how you’d like to work together and provide some information about your medical and physical health history.

  • Assessment sessions last 50 minutes and will be conducted online or in-person depending on preference and availability.

In this session, we’ll talk more about your current concerns and how they’re impacting you. We’ll explore your background and life experiences taking into consideration your family & upbringing, education, work, relationships and social, cultural and religious influences (if applicable) among other things. This information will inform how we best work together moving forward.

  • Following the assessment session, therapy will continue on a regular basis for as long as you would like. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £110.

In these sessions we’ll work together to help you address your hopes for therapy. That might be gaining a better understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, working through particular struggles, building coping skills, or becoming more self-aware and confident.

The first few sessions will help us better understand what you’re looking to explore. We’ll start to connect the dots about why you’re feeling the way you are and any patterns or triggers we notice. At this point, we’ll set some clearer goals for what you hope will be different.

That’s when the hard work begins and we start to unpick and process your experiences and build new, healthier ways of coping.

  • Within the first four to six weeks of therapy we’ll check in to see how everything’s going. We’ll think together about some of the key themes in sessions, where we need to focus, what’s been helpful and, perhaps, unhelpful, and any other reflections you’ve had.

Should you wish, at this point, you’ll receive a clinical assessment summary of the work so far and some proposed explanations for the difficulties you’re facing. We’ll compile this collaboratively, to ensure the report aligns with your own understanding of what brought you to therapy.
